Masha blends our Bird's Eye Farm line with the excellent breeding tradition of Diji Farm. Her dam Zora and granddam Zadie (aka Ginger Zinger) are extra friendly, beloved members of our herd. They come from excellent lines and have produced well, but their mammaries are not as robust as our Chimi-Ina or Nib lines.
Enter the handsome buck Diji Farm AH Snow's Legacy! Larry (as he's known) was bred from two of Diji's finest. His mom Darling Snow was a milkstand star with a spectacular mammary. Carol of Diji Farm said Snow had such a tabletop line you could have set plates on it. And her Linear Appraisal score of VEEE 91 is excellent for a Nigie. Larry's dad is Austin Healey, who sired our own Nib, another milkstand star.
Put that all together and you get lovely, level, long-bodied Masha, who freshened for the first time, with twins, in 2026. (And she birthed them at 8pm, bless her! Almost all our births that year came round midnight.) Her conformation already looks even better than Zora's or Zadie's.
She appraised at GGVG 82, not bad for a first freshener who wasn’t exactly uddered up for the occasion. (We didn’t want to overfill; her kids had just graduated to their new home and we knew that plus a long fill could wreck her lactation.) She scored Vs for rear legs and that wonderful level back.
